Poetry and Fiction for Democracy and Human Rights
This event will bring together anyone who is interested in literature to discuss the interrelation between literature, democracy and human rights. The event will start off by sharing of poetry/fiction that focuses on the conference themes of democracy and human rights. These can be pieces written by the participants themselves or excerpts from any literary work that is in line with the above mentioned themes of the conference.  The event will conclude with an interactive discussion on the power of literature to develop empathy and understanding​​.
